Our New Year’s Ski Resolutions

Happy 2024! As we reflect with gratitude on 2023, here are the Pondoz crew’s ski goals for the coming year.

Robin, Founder & CEO

Build the strength to feel more confident on the mountain.

I’m not in the best ski-ready condition right now, so I’m going to work hard to get my legs in shape before I hit the slopes. From squats and lunges to balance and mobility training, I’m going to really give it my all the next few weeks. Then practice better form on steep terrain!

George, Digital Marketing Manager

Stomp that 360.

I’m on the journey to hit my first 360 this season while getting at least a weekend of skiing in every month to improve my overall skills and keep my body up to speed.

James, Product Development Lead

Enjoy my first season back post-op.

I want to keep both knees intact, especially the one that I just had fixed, and spend at least 25 days in the backcountry enjoying some mild ascents and the quiet of the mountains This year is a special one for me as i’m returning to the snow post surgery :) after lots of hard work and frustrating recovery I am beyond stoked to be able to slide around again.

Arianna, Operations Manager

Soak nature up each week.

I am fairly new to the backcountry and am really loving the peace and quiet the climbs bring. Being in Boulder with great access to terrain close by, I hope to get out and tour once a week this season to improve my form and fitness while smelling the aromas of those sweet pine trees.

George Sr., Supportive Spouse & Product Tester I

Master the art of form.

As an older skier, I am focused on the  never ending quest of refining and improving my technique. Weight over feet! Clean edges carving beautifully down the fall line! Weight transfer seamlessly connecting the turns! Release tension allowing for your natural ability to express itself! Oh yeah.

Kyle, Supportive Spouse & Product Tester II

Get comfortable being uncomfortable.

I want to ride switch for one entire run each time we hit the mountain this year so that when I hit a 180 I feel almost as confident as I do while riding normal. If I can ride in both stances, I think I’m going to come out a much stronger boarder.

We wish you a happy and healthy 2024 with lots of time on the slopes!
